Akron Murder suspect posts bond

AN AUTOPSY IS PLANNED TODAY FOR THE AKRON MAN, WHO WAS SHOT LAST FRIDAY.

THE PLYMOUTH COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAYS AN AUTOPSY HAS BEEN SCHEDULED FOR 40-YEAR-OLD JEREMY HEBERT AT THE STATE MEDICAL EXAMINER’S OFFICE IN ANKENY. THERE WAS A HISTORY OF DOMESTIC ABUSE BETWEEN HEBERT AND HIS WIFE, BECKY, WHO HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH HIS MURDER.

PLYMOUTH COUNTY SHERIFF MIKE VAN OTTERLOO SAYS THE INCIDENT HAPPENED SHORTLY AFTER MIDNIGHT, FRIDAY MORNING, AT A HOME IN RURAL AKRON. THIRTY-THREE-YEAR-OLD BECKY HEBERT MONDAY POSTED BOND OF 25-THOUSAND DOLLARS… WITH A COURT APPEARANCE SET FOR THIS FRIDAY.

VAN OTTERLOO SAYS “THE INVESTIGATION ALLOWED OFFICERS TO LEARN THAT HEBERT AND THE DECEASED HAD BEEN ARGUING AND THEY WERE HAVING A DISAGREEMENT PRIOR TO THE SHOOTING. HE SAID POLICE HAD BEEN SENT TO RURAL AKRON HOME IN THE PAST ON DOMESTIC ABUSE CALLS.
