South Dakota man injured in motorcycle accident at Million dollar corner

A South Dakota man was injured in a motorcycle accident Friday evening at the intersection of highway 75 and highway 10, four miles south of Sioux Center. The Sioux county sheriff’s office says that 54 year old Arthur De Raad of Brandon, South Dakota was driving a motorcycle eastbound on highway 10. He stopped for the stop sign at highway 75, turned north and lost control of the motorcycle and was ejected from it. De Raad was transported by the Sioux Center ambulance to the Sioux Center hospital, he was later flown to Avera McKennan hospital in Sioux Falls for further treatment of his injuries. The accident remains under investigation. The Sioux County sheriff’s office was assisted by the Maurice first responders, Maurice fire and rescue, Sioux Center ambulance, and the Sioux Center police department.
