Spencer-based Seasons Center for Behavioral Health has been awarded a four million federal grant over two years to become a certified community behavioral health clinic. The designation will allow them to provide comprehensive services to adults and children including mental health and substance use disorder services.
Seasons was one of two agencies awarded the grant in Iowa.
The funding covers nine counties in northwest Iowa, including Buena Vista, Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Lyon, O’Brien, Osceola, Palo Alto and Sioux.
Kim Scorza, CEO/President of Seasons Center, says they are now in the process of hiring additional staff to fulfill requirements of the grant. She says new and current staff will receive additional training and resources.
